Insuring a Camper
Think of buying a camper or already have a camper. Here are some things to consider when insuring it.
Auto Insurance vs. Travel Trailer Insurance
Putting a camper on an auto policy is possible, but there are some things to take into consideration:
- Liability Coverage- your camper will be cover as long as you are pulling it with your insured vehicle. Once you unhook your camper wherever it may be, there’s not liability coverage.
- Your coverage when the camper unhooked is Other than Collision & Collision only.
Putting a camper on Travel Trailer Insurance, is a great way to insure
- Vacation Liability- liability coverage after your Travel Trailer is unhooked, for the area at your campsite, you may be liable if someone is injured.
- Replacement Cost of Personal Property- Covers Personal Property inside your covered Travel Trailer
- Emergency Vacation Expense-if something happens to your Travel Trailer while on vacation, it
will help pay for reasonable expenses for lodging and transportation
- Disappearing deductibles-your deductible decreases 25% every year you are claim-free.
- Roadside Assistance
